Where do I start?

If you have never taken the classes that we offer, or it has been a really long time, it would be best to start with one of the following classes, suited for beginners:

  • gentle yoga
  • restorative yoga
  • beginner yoga
  • beginner pilates
  • all levels yoga
  • beginner TRX

If you want to take spin, you do not necessarily have to take the level 1 spin. Feel free to sign up for any spin class that suits your schedule as you can work at your own pace.

Do I have to sign up for classes in advance?

AYPC uses Mindbody Online as our online booking systems. It is available as a desktop version, or through an app. It is used worldwide, and our members report that it is easy to book and cancel their classes.

If you are planning to attend a spin, TRX, barre, or 4:30PM class, or the 11:45AM Saturday yoga you MUST sign up for classes in advance (by noon on that day) in order to reserve your spot.  

While AYPC strongly recommends signing up in advance for all classes, clients are not required to sign up for classes that are not listed above.  

If you need to cancel a reservation that you made, you must cancel at least two hours before the start of that class to avoid being charged for that class. This way, someone from the waitlist has adequate notice to attend class if they are added to the class due to your cancellation. 

Do I need to bring anything to class?

All classes: Clients should bring a water to any class that you plan to attend. 

All non-spin classes: Clients should bring a mat to all classes. While AYPC does have mats that you can borrow, using your own mat is the most hygenic option. 

Spin classes: You should bring a sweat towel to class. Sneakers or spin shoes are the required footwear fo the classes. If you have spin shoes, your shoes should have recessed, SPD compatible clips. If you are wearing sneakers, you should wear your sneakers with the hardest soles. "Fashion sneakers," with thin soles are not appropriate footwear for spin. 

Strength and TRX classes: Clients should bring sneakers that are not worn outside for either of these classes.

Yoga, pilates, barre, and yogalates classes are done barefoot. 

What do I do when you arrive at the studio for the first time? 

Clients who are visiting the studio for the first time should plan to arrive a few minutes early to fill out the health waiver. 

Upon arrival for class, all students should sign in at the desk. The studio also has cubbies for storage of shoes and non valuable items. All valuable items, such as wallets or jewlery, should not be left in a cubbie.  

What forms of payment does AYPC take? Should I pay in advance?

To guarentee your spot in class, clients should pay in advance and register online. AYPC subscribes to the secure processing included in Mindbody Online. 

If a client wishes to pay at the studio, AYPC accepts cash, checks, and major credit cards. 

Does AYPC have a trial period so that I can determine if I enjoy the classes?

Yes! New clients have the opportunity to buy a two week unlimited membership for $25 so that they can try the different classes and instructors to see what they best enjoy.

Studio Policies and Etiquette


Please refrain from wearing perfume or scented lotion when visiting AYPC. 

Cell Phones

Please turn your cellphone off before class begins.

Inclement Weather Class Cancellation Policy

  • If there is a cancellation of Auburn schools due to inclement weather, all AM classes are cancelled.
  • If there is a delay of Auburn schools due to inclement weather, the 5:45a/6am classes are cancelled. The status of the mid morning classes will be determined by the instructor. 
  • All evening, weekend, and mid morning cancellations will be posted on Mindbody and Facebook at least one hour before the class is scheduled to begin. Also, members who sign up for a class will get an automatic email if the class is cancelled. 

Medical Concerns

Please inform the instructor before class if you have an injury or are pregnant. 


Unless otherwise noted in the class description, the studio is normal room temperature (between 68 and 72 degrees). The studio is air conditioned in the warm months.

Registration Only Classes (Prenatal)

Space in class class is held with a completed registration form and payment. Registrations are due before the first class. The are non transferable. If there is space available in the class, registrations during the session are accepted. You may not make up classes in a future session. Refunds are not made for missed classes. (Exceptions for medical reasons will be considered.)
