Jessica Miller, Yoga Instructor

Jessica completed a 200 hour yoga certification program through Frog Pond Yoga Centre in Princeton, MA.  She studied Rājā Yoga, an eight limb path outlined in Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

Jessica believes that the path of yoga makes one whole.  It clarifies, calms and revives body, mind and spirit.  She wants to share her journey with others by teaching students how to quiet the activities of the mind, create a state in which one is always present, and keep the body healthy, strong and flexible.  To Jessica, the practice of yoga should not be asana alone (yoga posture), but rather a holistic practice of asana, pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.  Jessica has a special interest in the chakra system, the foundation of one’s spiritual anatomy.  When balanced, each of the seven chakras brings benefits to the spiritual and physical aspects of the self.

Jessica holds a bachelor of science in Psychology, with a minor in Human Resources, from the University of Scranton in PA.  She is also an Instructional Designer.  When Jessica is not teaching, she loves spending time with her husband, Austin, and her son, Rowan.

Melanie encourages her students to share their sports, hobbies, aches, pains and joys so that we can customize classes to meet your needs. Melanie believes that yoga is a lifetime of learning, and thankful that it found her.
