Ann Ramsey, Yoga Instructor (RYT-500 hours)

Ann Ramsey was first introduced to yoga in 1998, to bring balance to a very physically active lifestyle. Her practice and study of yoga is enhanced by her knowledge of anatomy and physiology from her surgical career of nine years. She hopes to share with her students the tools to enhance their quality of life through the exploration of yoga, as it applies to their bodies, as they are. Ann believes in the power of yoga to bring balance and strength to the physical body; adaptability, clarity and understanding to the mind; and awareness and compassion of the spirit. Her teaching style encourages exploration of movement through asana with respect and compassion for the individual’s inner experience.

Ann Ramsey received her teacher certification in yoga from nationally recognized teacher Barbara Benagh, director of The Yoga Studio in Boston, with whom she continues to study. She is a registered RYT at the 500 level from Yoga Alliance. She has also studied extensively at the advanced level with Lauren Toolin, director of The Metta Center in Spencer, and in teacher training intensives with world master teacher Rodney Yee, with whom she has also teacher assisted in his open yoga classes. Ann continues to explore yoga with many nationally and world recognized yoga teachers in hopes to bring to her students the experience of these masterful people of yoga. She is certified in first aid and CPR from the American Heart Association.

When not teaching Ann loves being a mother to her 3 children, a wife and partner to her husband of 24 years, Warren, who is also a yoga instructor; and living life as an experience to savor and appreciate.
