Ann Ramsey, Yoga Instructor (eRYT-500 hours)

Ann was first introduced to yoga in 1998, to bring balance to a very physically active lifestyle. Her knowledge of anatomy and experiential curiosity in the practice of yoga has been influenced by a 9 year surgical career. She hopes to give her student’s the tools to enhance their quality of life through the exploration of yoga, as it applies to their bodies, as they are. Ann believes in the power of yoga to bring balance and strength to the physical body, adaptability, clarity and understanding to the mind, and awareness and compassion of the spirit. Her teaching style encourages exploration of movement through asana with respect and compassion for the individual’s inner experience.

Ann Ramsey is a registered eRYT at the 500 level from Yoga Alliance, she received her teacher certification in yoga from world renowned yoga instructor, Barbara Benagh, director of The Yoga Studio in Boston. Ann enjoys and believes in the necessity of being a student. She continues her studies with Barbara Benagh and Eileen Muir director of Karuna Yoga Center in Northampton. She has also studied extensively at the advance level with Lauren Toolin, director of The Metta Center in Spencer and in teacher training intensives with world master teachers Rodney Yee and Rod Stryker, whom she has also teacher assisted with in their open yoga classes. Ann continues to explore yoga with many nationally and world recognized yoga teachers in hopes to bring to her students the experience of these masterful people of yoga.

When not teaching Ann loves being with her family, a wife and partner to her husband of 27 years Warren, whom is also a yoga instructor; and living life as a sacred experience to savor and appreciate.
