Heated Vinyasa Yoga consists of a sequence of postures and focused breathing technique that combines breath with the continuous flow of movement that is designed to intensify internal heat and detoxify and cleanse the body of all impurities. Vinyasa Yoga is the ultimate cross training system. Done regularly, your body will go through an incredible transformation.

The temperature will be near 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Most of the heat generated in a typical Vinyasa class is internal body heat. As a result of all this internal heat, you will most likely sweat. Therefore, bring a towel and a bottle of water.

So, what exactly is Spinning? Spinning, introduced in 1987 by Johnny G, has become a global exercise and wellness phenomenon. The primary focus of Spinning is to get into shape, have fun, train with purpose and enjoy a powerful mind-body connection.

Contrary to popular belief, Spinning is not just a 'hard-core' fitness program for elite athletes. Instead, this high-energy group exercise integrates music, camaraderie, and visualization in a complete mind/body exercise program. Individualized for participants of any age or ability, the Spinning program uses a stationary bike, a simple set of movements and hand positions, and heart rate training to deliver personal empowerment and unparalleled fitness results. In fact, participants in a 45-minute cycling class can burn an average of 500 calories.

This workshop will teach new participants the fundamentals of bike setup, along with the other fundamental elements of a typical spinning class.    Please be sure to bring sneakers (or bike shoes), water, and a "sweat towel."
